Legacy Of a Warrior Is the project that we are currently working on for 2018. In honor of those who have battled or are still battling Cancer, we will be gifting a Professional Portrait Sessions to 20 amazing Fighters, Survivors and Caregivers . We plan to publish a large scale portrait book with stories of these amazing warriors.
Here is a sneak peek... Meet Miranda and Yurina Valenzuela. I invited them to come to my studio for a day of well needed TLC. I sat with Yurina (Mirand’s mom ) and she told Miranda’s story. I hope you enjoy this sneek peek of some of the images from her session and a little of her story .
Miranda Valenzuela
Meet Miranda Valenzuela. This beautiful little Angel has been battling Osteosarcoma. Osteosarcoma is the most common type of cancer that arises in bones. Most people diagnosed with osteosarcoma are under the age of 25, and it is thought to occur more often in males than females.
Yurina and I sat and talked about how Miranda's nightmare began from one little bump on her knee. You see, last year towards the end of June Miranda hurt her knee and got a little bump on it. They didn’t think much about it until they noticed the bump wouldn’t only not go away but it got bigger no matter what Yurina would put on it. The bump hurt Miranda so they finally decided to go to the doctor. That was when their whole lives changed.
